Rats, mice and cockroaches are a troublesome problem in many urban areas.  Indeed, there are an estimated 6 million children who suffer from asthma, many of which are brought on by cockroaches, and studies have shown that nearly all children bitten by rats have been from poor Hispanic and Black families.  So in the face of this serious problem, it is sad to find environmental groups and six attorneys general are calling for the elimination of, believe it or not, chemical pest control agents that battle these vermin.  It’s part of an anti-pesticide campaign launched by several Green groups, and unless it is stopped may cause a serious harm to many of our urban poor.  Here’s hoping this latest anti-pesticide crusade gets fumigated.
