Scoot over, land rovers, literally that is.  There’s a new buzz in the consumer market for, believe it or not, scooters.  That’s right, scooters are becoming more and more popular as motorists seek ways to get from place to place without paying more in ever higher gas prices.  This, according to the Richmond Times Dispatch, which reports how cities such as Denver and Richmond are fast becoming thriving scooter cities, just like many in Europe.  While some models may look like a cross between a Volkswagon beetle and a vacuum cleaner, don’t let that fool you, as they can hum along at over 60 miles per hour.  And with the ability to also get more than 60 miles per gallon, experts expect scooter scales to keep scooting right along!
