Climate Data Erased to Save Space
JACOB ARFWEDSON (Paris)
No need for conspiracy theories about the lack of alleged “consensus” on climate change.
Just look at the facts. We already know that dissenting voices are being excluded from the IPCC (thankfully, some of them remain vocal in the blogosphere and elsewhere).
But try this for size: last August, the Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia revealed it had eliminated global surface temperature data, “for lack of space”. Ever heard of more RAM? Take some books (e.g. Rachel Carson) off your office shelf? Try a better flash memory?
The data in question (surprise?) concerns the claim of catastrophic global warming. Our friends at the Competitive Enterprise Institute have filed a petition to denounce this blatant disregard for facts from a government entity.
