Copenhagen Endgame

CRAIG RUCKER (Copenhagen) I write again. There should be no treaty in Copenhagen. The science isn’t settled and the facts don’t fit. The propaganda is the tipoff. If the case were strong, we wouldn’t be chest deep in lies, half truths and sleight of hand. Confident players lay down their cards with a flourish. Its the guy bluffing who covers up tight and tries to drive you out of the game with diversions and patter. […]

Lord Christopher Monckton questions IPPC chairman

CFACT delegate and former Margaret Thatcher advisor Lord Christopher Monckton attended a speech by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) chairman Dr. Rajendra Pachauri to ask the chairman several difficult questions.  ClimateDepot.com executive editor Marc Morano also asked difficult questions. When Lord Monckton's questions about a conflict of interest between Dr. Pachauri's financial interest and position on the IPCC were not adequately answered he stood up and demanded an adequate response Dr. Pachauri appeared totally unprepared to appropriately answer the questions and ran out of the building immediately after the Q&A session closed without talking to anybody.

CFACT’s Morano: King of the skeptics

A new blog post on Newsweek.com treats ClimateDepot.com's executive editor Marc Morano with the respect he deserves.  Newsweek writer Katie Connolly refers to Morano as "influential" and notes how prolific and effective he is at getting out facts about the issue of global warming. Conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh commented that "Morano's probably single-handedly, in a civilian sense, the guy─other than me, of course─doing a better job of ringing the bells alarming people of what's going on here." The article also notes: "Looking ahead, Morano just wants to keep the status quo. 'My fervent hope is the mainstream media continues to ignore [...]

Video: Climate Cooling? Warming? Climate Models Are No Crystal Ball

AllPainNoGain.org has released a new video that features a group of expert scientists explaining how computer generated climate models that predict the climate over a very long time period are no crystal ball. Experts include: David Legates, Lord Christopher Monckton, Joseph D’Aleo, R. Anthony Lupo, John Theon, Doug Hoffman, and Allen Simmons.

Laughs for Greenpeace “Climate Caper” turning into international roar

Press coverage from CFACT's two daring land and sea missions to put "truth in advertising" on Greenpeace ships in Copenhagen has exploded across the internet and blogosphere.  Here's a sampling of some of the international press coverage, as of Thursday morning: A Daily Telegraph politics blog post. A National Journal "Copenhagen Insider" blog. An Examiner article and video. A National Review Online "the corner" blog post. A Canada Free Press article. An Australian Herald Sun blog post. A Yahoo! News article. The YouTube videos of the two missions are on the CFACT page, along with videos of other projects from Copenhagen. ... and many more to [...]

CFACT boards Greenpeace Vessel

(Copenhagen, Denmark, December 16, 2009) Global warming skeptics from CFACT yesterday pulled off an international climate caper using GPS triangulation from Greenpeace's own on-board camera photos to locate and sail up long-side of the infamous Greenpeace vessel, Rainbow Warrior. Then in Greenpeace-like fashion, the CFACT activists unfurled a banner reading "Propaganda Warrior" which underscored how the radical green group’s policies and agenda are based on myths, lies, and exaggerations. Earlier in the day the activists daringly boarded Greenpeace's Arctic Sunrise with neither stealth nor force, but by baffling the crew with doughnuts, and unfurled a banner that read “Ship of Lies” off [...]

Socialists and Communists march to support global warming agenda

CFACT co-founders David Rothbard and Craig Rucker get some revealing answers from socialist and communist activists who participated in a large climate action rally at the UN conference in Copenhagen, Denmark on Saturday, December 12.  The activists believe that the free market system which has created prosperity in the Western world should be replaced with global socialism. CFACT stands strongly against the radical agenda of the protesters and believes that if the US signs a UN treaty it would be All Pain No Gain. Follow CFACT's Mission Copenhagen at CFACT.tv.

A different kind of red and green this Yuletide

From National Journal blog: Yesterday they marched, we marched. Noisy, insistent and colorful writes my co-blogger Keith Schneider. Keith, you are too kind. Too kind by far. Noisy - certainly. Insistent - yes, but not so much about protecting the environment as on tearing down our social fabric. We're environmentalists. These people's environmentalism is incoherent. There was plenty of shouting about climate, but their marchers were far more concerned with opposing capitalism, technology, democracy and western society than they were interested in environmentalism. Colorful? Now you've got it, but the color was not green, but red. Not touchy, feely euro-socialist red, [...]

All Pain No Gain Video: Inconvenient Science

As delegates from around the world continue to deliberate in Copenhagen, Denmark about solutions to the alleged crisis of global warming, there is a widespread belief that the science is settled on climate change.  Indeed, Al Gore, one of the world’s leading proponents of drastic international action, firmly asserts there is a “consensus” on climate science. But that claim “goes against the way science operates,” says Dr. David Legates, atmospheric scientist at the University of Delaware. Scientists propose theories about how nature operates – and then test their theories against actual observations, and let other scientists check their data and theories [...]

CFACT’s Morano debates UN climate treaty on Britain’s Sky News

On British TV channel Sky News, ClimateDepot.com executive editor Marc Morano debated an environmental scientist who wants the developing world to better manage its use of resources to curtail its emissions at the expense of further development.  The professor also overstated the number of scientists who support the dire predictions of the UN IPCC.  Morano made the following comments about his debate on ClimateDepot.com:   A contentious live global warming debate took place in Copenhagen on UK's Sky News TV on December 12 between ProfessorMark Maslin of the University College London and Climate Depot's Executive Editor Marc Morano. During the debate, Professor Maslin erroneously [...]

Knute suit

Taken from Craig Rucker's blog post on the National Journal website: What I see in Copenhagen continues to amaze me. Last night I drank beer with a couple of polar bears. The earnest young leftists in the Knute suits could only discuss climate at the pablum level. No thought, no examination, no understanding, just programmed propaganda. The polar bear population (now over 20,000) is at record levels. The'yre not drowning, (they swim better than you do). If you think they don't have plenty of ice, head north in your bathing suit and see how you like the clime.  Hard science [...]

Hon. Steve Stockman addresses CFACT conference during the UN convention in Copenhagen

Congressman Steve Stockman addressed the Copenhagen Climate Challenge Conference co-sponsored by CFACT and the Climate-Sense Coalition on December 8-9.  His humorous, yet hard hitting style helped him attract the attention of the NY Times, where he was pictured on the front page of the Environment section.  You can also view video of Stockman's remarks and many other exclusive videos on www.cfact.tv.
