CFACT’s new billboard campaign reminds Washington D.C., New York and New Jersey motorists of the folly of attributing hurricane Sandy or other extreme weather events to global warming.
The billboards contrast Al Gore’s statement that “Hurricane Sandy is a disturbing sign of things to come” with a statement by President Obama who correctly said that, “We can’t attribute any particular event to global warming.
Sadly, the President’s good sense on this issue was short lived. In his inaugural address President Obama said, ““Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms.”
CFACT’s billboard campaign is one step in our ongoing efforts to teach politicians, citizens and the media that weather and climate are not the same thing.
That should be “Whom do you believe?”
Both are born liers!
Wasn’t the same thing said about hurricane Katrina? Bigger stronger more frequent etc etc..
