An eco-fashion statement from discarded cigarette butts

No one likes seeing cigarette butts on the ground. But one creative artist in Hollywood decided to do something about it and made some interesting apparel from the butts he collected. According to the Environmental News Network, the artist named Snazzy-B wanted to draw attention to the fact that cigarette butts are not biodegradable, and contain toxins that can harm marine life when they wash into storm drains and out into our waterways. So he collected over 1,000 nasty cigarette butts along Hollywood Boulevard, cleaned and glued them together, and formed then into a stylish vest with two cigarette boxes also used to form a bow tie. He said he hopes his crazy fashion statement will change people’s perceptions about snubbing out their cigs on the curb.
