Poland plans to ban wind farms near schools, wind lobby panics

Poland’s governing Law and Justice Party plans to require new wind turbines be built a mile away from homes and schools, citing concerns about rising electricity bills, reducing costly green energy subsidies, aesthetics and health issues.

Colonel Walt Cunningham, lunar module pilot on Apollo VII, explains why America’s space pioneers are shocked and dismayed by today’s politicization of science to serve the global warming agenda. WATCH NOW.

Poland fires president of UN climate summit for being too green!

In a move which shows what can only be interpreted as disdain for the UN climate summit, Poland abruptly fired its environment minister who also serves as President of COP 19!

Poland recognizes the real global warming agenda

One might say that the good people of Warsaw are Poles apart from the UN’s view of fossil fuels, which amounts to an outright condemnation of coal and suspicion of oil and natural gas. CFACT President got perhaps the warmest reception of his life when he spoke at a Polish independence day celebration that was also broadcast live to millions more on Polish national television. His message was simple: the UN’s clearly stated goal is worldwide wealth redistribution and a UN-headed global government — and the war on carbon is not about a cleaner environment or a more prosperous society at all.

Poland saying “Nie” to Green demands

You’ve heard us say the UN’s decision to have a climate conference in Poland was a big mistake. Poland is not only a nation highly skeptical of climate alarmism, but also one that is supportive and heavily reliant on coal and fossil fuels. Poland was probably not going to offer them the reception they were looking for.

Now it appears some Greens are coming to a similar conclusion.

Poland blocks EU environment council on climate

Poland, which is about to assume the EU Presidency, is so fed up with EU climate policy that on June 22 it blocked the conclusions of the EU environmental ministers council. Polish good sense blocked the ministers from recommending the EU reduce carbon emissions by 80 percent by 2050 which would devastate European economies.  This […]

CFACT to EPA: Scrap your dirty “clean power plan”

The Clean Power Plan will harm human health and welfare, wildlife and environmental quality, but will do nothing to prevent climate change, “dangerous” or otherwise.

The Environmental Protection Agency needs to scrap its plan to implement its Clean Power Plan, and any “model rules” developed under the Plan.

The march to Paris has begun

Oil and gas exports—one policy change, many benefits

“Businesses that sell to foreign markets put more people to work in high-quality jobs, offering more Americans the chance to earn a decent wage,” claimed the Obama Administration’s Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker in a March 18 Wall Street Journal (WSJ) opinion piece. She makes a strong case for U.S. exports: “jobs in export-intensive industries […]

Trust and verification at the Peru climate summit

As CFACT briefed Peruvian leaders on global warming, the UN climate conference bogged down over issues of trust and verification. Here’s a clue — any country that asks you to trust them under a UN treaty without verification is lying. Got that, President Obama?

EU climate compromise: I will if you will

Marita Noon says that the European Union may appear to have reached a consensus agreement on carbon dioxide reductions, renewables use, and energy efficiency — but the agreement includes a proviso that it only takes effect if all of the major carbon dioxide emitter countries become signatories to the non-treaty agreement that President Obama thinks he can make effective even without Senate confirmation.

Watch Apollo Astronaut Walt Cunningham blast global warming

Astronaut Walt Cunningham was interviewed by ABC News at a CFACT event in Minnesota: “Models are not data… I’m here to encourage everyone to look at the data themselves, not just buy what they’re told.” We are “facing one of the biggest scientific hoaxes in history. That’s what’s being pushed on us.”

    Pummeling Coal Country families

President Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency is about anything BUT protection of the American people and their economic future. Instead, the EPA has proposed regulations — based on spurious research — that will devastate families in coal states (and everywhere else as well as a result), kill millions of jobs, and force the cost of electricity to “skyrocket.” These smug bureaucrats refuse to disclose their research, their economic projections, or any other data that they allegedly used to develop these proposed standards — and they have been stonewalling even Congress, demonstrating their unabashed arrogance. It is time that the people rose up, demanded action by their elected representatives to stop the EPA’s onslaught on America, and bring the whole truth to light about these rules and the shenanigans of those who seek to impose them on us.

Putin’s gift to America’s energy independence

James Rust, taking a note from Peter Glover’s article about Russian energy imperialism, suggests the U.S. should step up its own energy production and liberalize our oil and gas export laws to provide Europe with the means to thwart Russia’s bold geopolitical strategy. Of course, the Europeans might do well to reverse their own anti-energy-production policies. The key is to remember that fossil fuels production is a manufacturing process that drives economic growth.

Carbon benefits exceed costs by up to 500:1

To justify their steady stream of anti-fossil fuel “climate change prevention” regulations, the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy and other federal agencies have invented the “social cost of carbon” concept. It attaches arbitrary monetary values to the alleged impacts of using hydrocarbons and emitting carbon dioxide – and thereby enables government agencies to say the energy that powers 80% of our U.S. economy imposes enormous costs on society … which expensive, punitive regulations will prevent. However, the entire exercise is arbitrary, of questionable merit and validity, illegal, and even fraudulent. Most ridiculous of all, in violation of an important 1993 executive order, the federal methodology does not even consider one single aspect of the countless benefits that hydrocarbon energy provides to modern societies. In fact, if they considered both costs and benefits of carbon and carbon dioxide, federal officials would find that the benefits of carbon outweigh the costs by as much as 500 to 1!

    Lies my President told me

We all know the President lied (or, more favorably, “misspoke”) when he said, “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period.” We know the Administration totally fabricated the story that a silly YouTube video was the reason four Americans died in BenGhazi. So why should we be surprised as real-world data and the uncovering of official mischief demonstrate that the “global warming” (or “climate change”) hysteria was built on lies and that the real intent was to create a cause celebre for redistributing the world’s wealth?

Major media outlets such as Business Week and the New York Times, however, get short shrift as enablers of the warmist lies and misrepresentations.
