Life in a climate cataclysm box

Licking her chops at the possibilities, former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson insisted her agency would need 240,000 new employees (at $100,000 a year and up!) just to administer new CO2 regulations -- tripling or even quadrupling EPA's current size. So of course "climate scientists" will lie, cheat, and deceive to hide the truth that the Earth is not warming -- the truth could kill their golden goose!

The science fiction of IPCC climate models

Green, Armstrong, and Soon, authors of the only peer-reviewed paper that claims to provide scientific forecasts of long-range global mean temperatures, explain that the IPCC climate forecasting modelers violated 72 of 89 relevant scientific forecasting principles to reach their politically mandated conclusions -- conclusions that are the supposed basis for very costly regulations that stifle growth and burden the future.

Fired up over foolish federal forest policies

There is no doubt that fires burn in both managed and unmanaged forests, the difference is that in managed areas the timbering itself creates natural fire breaks, creates man-made access to the outbreak making it easier to fight, and the forestry practice itself is designed to protect the maximum number of trees from fire. The disaster of a fire ravaging a forest becomes doubly acute for a company that owns the rights to cut timber. For a timber company, a devastating forest fire is not only an environmental disaster, but also an economic one that destroys the product that they plan to harvest to provide the wood the world needs to build homes, furniture and other structures.

EPA: Bungling biofuels buffoonery

EPA’s primary role is to confirm what was already laid out by statute in terms of annual volumes of biofuels. That so called “renewable fuels schedule” established in 2005 and update in 2007 requires an ever increasing amount of biofuel to be blended into the nation’s fuel supply until the total hits 36 billion gallons in 2022. Those volumes, however, are completely unrealistic – a fact even EPA recognizes.

Carbon Dioxide: The Gas of Life

In this special report, CFACT senior policy advisor Paul Driessen examines carbon dioxide and its many benefits. While global warming alarmists rail against it, carbon dioxide is actually the "gas of life," without which life on earth would perish.

Morano on Fox News: Obama bypassing Congress on climate

Morano appeared on FNC's "Special Report" on August 16, 2013 to discuss President Obama's global warming plans. "The Obama administration is being strategically brilliant by doing this behind the scenes,” said Morano. “They’re going to achieve everything that cap and trade, and UN treaties and even a carbon tax would achieve through the invisibility of federal regulations.”

Unprincipled lack of precaution on wind turbines

The problem with regard to consistency get larger as we come to realize that whatever they support is permitted; whatever they oppose violates the Precautionary Principle. They support windmills; therefore there is no violation. They oppose fracking; therefore it violates the principle.... In the view of activists and regulators, regulations exist to delay, block or destroy things they oppose. The fact that regulatory actions may well cause prolonged energy deprivation, poverty, unemployment, disease, malnutrition or premature death is irrelevant to them.

How safe is your organic food?

How safe are organic foods, especially when compared to conventionally grown varieties? Not as safe as many assume. A recall has just been announced for certified organic berries sold at Costco. According to the Centers for Disease Control, at least 106 people in eight states have contracted hepatitis A, a debilitating disease that can last for weeks or months, and even be deadly, after eating Townsend Farms frozen berries bought at the box store retailer.

The climate IS changing: it’s getting colder again!

European officialdom and media have more fully absorbed the implications of global cooling than their counterparts in the United States. Germany and England, where aggressive decarbonization schemes already have driven energy prices 40% to 70% higher, now consider reeling back their plans. In the U.S., global warming alarmists and some politicians dismiss the cooling as a minor pause in apocalyptic warming. The major media follow their cue and that of President Barack Obama, who recently claimed that the speed of global warming is accelerating faster than the science predicted. He might check with NOAA about the matter.

State lawmakers are stalling on renewables mandates

Lawmakers in states across the nation are thinking twice about policies that drive up the cost of power. In fact, according to a recent report, fourteen states with renewable energy mandates are currently considering laws that repeal of significantly roll back provisions that require utilities to build or purchase more renewable power. An additional eight states considered such measures last year.
