Play Methane Madness

Play Methane Madness and put a cork in Al Gore's climate propaganda day   "Put a cork in it, Al!" That's the message students are sending Al Gore, radical climate campaigners and assorted other bohemians, grant-seekers and profiteers cashing in on the global warming craze. Al Gore is calling on folks to make September 14th a day of climate action through a series of propaganda videos he will be broadcasting worldwide.  CFACT calls for a day of genuine “climate realism” instead. CFACT Collegians are spreading the word with a bit of online levity. CFACT's Methane Madness game trains online players to [...]

Economy trumps climate as registration for COP 17 Durban opens

This article was originally published in the National Journal. ---------------------------- The world economic crisis is providing a wake up call for climate realism.  As registration for COP 17, December's UN  conference on climate  change in Durban, South Africa, opens on Tuesday, support for the UN climate agenda continues to deteriorate. Take the UK example.  Reuters reports that with half of major energy suppliers in the UK announcing double digit price increases for electricity and gas the British public has had enough.  75 percent now favor abandoning Britain's green agenda if it means higher prices. The problem of course is after you thwart [...]

After pressure from Climate Depot, Gingrich ‘regrets’ Gore climate ad with Pelosi

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has officially flip-flopped about his 2008 Al Gore ad with Nancy Pelosi on global warming. Gingrich declared he now "regrets" making the commercial. Gingrich's announcement comes after months of pressure from global warming skeptics, led by Climate Depot. (See: Sierra Club's Carl Pope recognizes Climate Depot as Kingmaker: 'All seem to be mindful of the remarkable know-nothing standard set for GOP candidates by Marc Morano') The Hill – July 26, 2011 Excerpt: Gingrich regrets 2008 climate ad with Pelosi -- By Michael O'Brien - 07/26/11 -- Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) said Tuesday that he [...]

Turning wind and solar into fossil fuel

If America started using more renewable energy from the sun and wind, what would happen on days filled with clouds and no breezes? Well this challenge may now be solved by the discovery of a microbe that converts electrical energy from the sun and wind, and stores it as methane.

An Inconvenient Terrorist

Police report that James J. Lee stormed the Discovery Channel Building today and held hostages at gunpoint for four hours today before being shot and killed by police.   Lee, “the inconvenient terrorist,” was “awakened” after watching former Vice President Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth.  Lee issued a lengthy manifesto which shows the degree to which he was influenced by Gore and other radical green campaigners.  Taken together Lee's manifesto seems the rantings of a madman, but we who follow these issues closely have seen the bulk of these demands before issued by one radical environmental campaigner after another.  Lee's manifesto (click [...]

Collegians protest Gore honorary degree in Knoxville

Knoxville, TN- Collegians For A Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT)  hosted a protest of the award of an honorary degree to Al Gore at the University of Tennessee’s commencement ceremonies on May 14. “Al Gore is setting a new standard for underserved honors,” said Dillon MacDonald who is a CFACT-TN leader.  “First he got a Nobel prize although he didn't bring peace, now he's getting an honorary degree for scaring Americans with flawed science.  He flies in private jets, just bought another mansion, yet tells working people their houses are too large, their showers too warm, their cars too fast and our economy [...]

Monckton on Bonn climate conference: they’re at it again

The case for a climate treaty is in tatters.  We've seen the Climategate emails expose scientists who adjusted their data to suit their politics.  We've seen Glaciergate in which we've learned that the famous IPCC climate change report falsely stated that Himalayan glaciers will melt by 2035 and based this not on science, peer reviewed or otherwise, but on the unfounded claims of the WWF, an environmental campaigning organization.  Now we're learning about Nasagate – that climate researchers at the American space agency concede that their temperature data was inaccurate and inferior to the data used at the Climate Research Unit [...]

An alarmist’s history of climate change

Behind the persistent global warming scare is the hypothesis and assertion that increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide levels are causing Earth to warm dangerously. The thesis is espoused most prominently by Al Gore, James Hansen, modelers and other alarmists. It is the fundamental assumption behind the computer models that consistently conjure up headline-grabbing climate change disaster scenarios. A basic principle of geology and other sciences is that the same natural processes we observe today – erosion, plant growth, species adaptation and so on – occurred in a similar manner throughout Earth’s history. Therefore, if carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are [...]

Al Gore: Junk science huckster

House Global Warming Subcommittee Chairman Ed Markey (D-MA) was outraged that a renegade freelance lobbyist had sent a dozen phony letters to members of Congress, urging them to vote against cap-and-trade legislation. Congress will not tolerate “forgery and identity theft” in attempting to influence the passage of legislation, members solemnly intoned. The letters misled Congress and imperiled its integrity and deliberative process. Few Americans would disagree. But after their usual pontificating, the Democrats once again proved that, if they didn’t have double standards, they would have no standards. Mr. Markey and his big-D colleagues excoriated the guilty parties they had summoned [...]

None dare call it fraud

Imagine the reaction if investment companies provided only rosy stock and economic data to prospective investors; manufacturers withheld chemical spill statistics from government regulators; or medical device and pharmaceutical companies doctored data on patients injured by their products. Media frenzies, congressional hearings, regulatory investigations, fines and jail sentences would come faster than you can say Henry Waxman. If those same standards were applied to global warming alarmists, many of them would be fined, dismissed and imprisoned, sanity might prevail, and the House-Senate cap-and-tax freight train would come to a screeching halt. Fortunately for alarmists, corporate standards do not apply – even [...]

Don’t fry our economy!

Today hundreds gathered in at the State Capitol in Madison, Wi to oppose Al Gore and his alarmist Climate Change policies.  Despite the cold, an enthusiastic crowd gathered to send Al Gore a clear message: “Don’t Fry Our Economy!” “It was an amazing turnout, even though rain and cold usually keeps people away.  We were out to tell Al Gore and his friends that Cap and Trade will kill our economy, take jobs away, and tax American families out of their homes,” said UW CFACT president Alex Hansen. Senator Glenn Grothman and Representative Jim Ott both spoke on the truth about [...]

Gore: U.S. climate bill to bring global governance

Former Vice President Al Gore declared that the Congressional climate bill will help bring about “global governance.” “I bring you good news from the U.S.," Gore said on July 7, 2009 in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by UK Times. “Just two weeks ago, the House of Representatives passed the Waxman-Markey climate bill,” Gore said, noting it was “very much a step in the right direction.” President Obama has pushed for the passage of the bill in the Senate and attended a G8 summit this week where he agreed to attempt to keep the [...]

Climate Depot in the news

Marc Morano, the editor in chief of CFACT’s groundbreaking new website ClimateDepot.com, has been stirring up quite a fuss lately reporting all the latest news and developments in the fight against global warming alarmists like Al Gore.  Morano has been cited by three major news outlets in as many days.  On July 7, Sean Hannity of FOX News cited ClimateDepot.com and gave this comment: “Al Gore may have some explaining to do. It's been over three years since his global warming propaganda film hit theaters and, since that time, ClimateDepot.com reports that the Earth's temperature has actually dropped.” In an article [...]
