America in lockdown

CFACT Senior Advisor Paul Driessen documents how the Obama Administration has put the lid on economic growth by locking down oil and gas and minerals production on federal lands and watyers, then imposing heavy burdens on existing and planned operations -- all the while promising jobs creation only through federal subaidies for so-called "clean" energy that in fact has its own downsides (dead eagles and other birds, the need for rare-earth minerals that must come from China since he has locked down U.S. deposits from production, etc.). Moreover, his EPA is on a mad mission to control nearly every aspect of American society. Things must change if the youth of America can rekindle real (rather than false) hope for their future.

Keystone obfuscation must end now!

If he truly cares about American jobs, it is time for President Obama to expedite approval of Keystone. Any further delay would send a clear signal to the nation, and to Canada, that he will never approve the project and has no real interest in creating jobs and getting our economy back on track. The charade would be over. The President who promised to bankrupt coal companies would go on record as trying to bankrupt oil companies and keep Americans in unemployment lines.

Rich Greens killing jobs for ordinary Americans

The American economy has some basic problems. We need more well-paid jobs, increased revenue, and our trade balance is out of whack. Each of these issues could be easily addressed, but environmentalists are doing everything they can to kill potential solutions.

Rockefeller Foundation’s anti-oil crusade targets Keystone XL Pipeline

Canadian researcher Vivian Krause wrote, “A large part of Tides Canada’s funding comes from the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation, the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, the David & Lucile Packard Foundation, the Pew Charitable Trusts and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. These are The Big Five. They give away about US$1.2-billion every year.” In a chilling reminder, she concluded, “If these foundations decide to undermine a foreign industry, they probably can.”

State Department report finds Keystone pipeline would create 42,000 jobs

Canadian oil already “spilling” into the U.S.

Environmentalists mistakenly think that blocking the Keystone pipeline will prevent crude oil, derived from Canada’s oil sands, from being extracted and from being conveyed into the U.S. to be refined into gasoline, asphalt, and other products that are important to the transportation and manufacturing sectors. Their ultimate goal is to stop all development of the Canadian resource. The Canadian oil spilled as a result of a recent train derailment in Minnesota highlights their misguided efforts.

Keystone pipeline is now in Secretary Kerry’s hands

Is it just me? Or do you detect some eco-sanctimonious hypocrisy in much of the “save the planet” anti-fossil crusading that is going around as well?

Eco-activist: Dismantle pipeline by “any means necessary”

CFACT's Marc Morano was at our Light Brigade counter protest to Sierra Club & 350.org's climate rally on February 17 and he interviewed some of the activists there. He found that the mood was very angry, with some protestors declaring the Keystone XL pipeline must be dismantled by "any means necessary" after Morano asked if they support acts of eco-terror.

The new robber barons

The new robber barons are not content with only taxes and debt. They are using other people's hard-earned money to finance wind, solar, biofuel and other schemes that reward crony capitalist campaign contributors.while locking up centuries of vital energy resources.

Will the election continue to give our fossil energy industries a Big Bird?

There’s a lot more at stake for America on November 6th than Sesame Street or free contraceptives for female grad students. Like, for example, whether or not anti-carbon regulatory obstructionism based upon flawed science and crony politics will continue to escalate energy costs, kill jobs, and sabotage success-proven free market competition.

Obama vs. Romney on oil and natural gas

President Obama boasts that, "We have increased oil production to the highest levels in 16 years. Natural gas production is the highest it’s been in decades." What's this "we" stuff? Romney counters, "the president’s right in terms of the additional oil production, but none of it came on federal land. As a matter of fact, oil production is down 14 percent this year on federal land, and gas production was down 9 percent.

Keystone pipeline opposition means likely flow to China

Citing concerns about the alleged impact of the proposed Keystone pipeline on an aquifer in Nebraska, environmentalists and President Obama have so far blocked approval for construction. But according to an article on Bloomberg News, that opposition will likely end up simply benefiting China, and further harming the U.S. economy.

Winners and losers energy policies

Governor Mitt Romney strongly supports North American energy independence as the foundation of renewed US employment and prosperity. President Obama is waging war on fossil fuels, job creation, and efforts to end our economic recession and reduce dependence on Middle Eastern and Russian oil.
