When you think of the military and the color green, you probably think of the Army and its use of camouflage. But how about the Navy? Well, while not sporting any green colors per se, the Navy is going green in another sense – that of environmental correctness. The Obama Administration has commissioned the creation of a Great Green Fleet, a number of ships that run on biofuels to combat alleged global warming. But not all a ready to say “anchors away” just yet, especially Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma, who notes this Green Fleet is costing taxpayers a lot of another sort of Green, namely money – as the price for biofuel to run Obama’s eco-friendly Navy has now been pegged at a hefty $27 per gallon.
