Several weeks ago, Driessen Fellows, Hai An Hoang, and Gadai Bulgac, attending the University of Houston, partnered with other student organizations to host a tree planting ceremony to honor those we lost in the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. Taking on the arduous task of preparing the area ahead of time, Hai An and her friends quite literally cleared the way for the ceremony by ridding the area of some pesky mushrooms and digging a preliminary hole for the young sapling.
