NASA chief will wind down climate alarm shop
Will NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) soon be out of the propaganda business?
Will NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) soon be out of the propaganda business?
With America working through a painful moment on race, GISS scientist Dr. Kate Marvel declared on June 1: “Climate justice and racial justice are the same thing, and we’ll never head off climate catastrophe without dismantling white supremacy.”
Many research results published in scientific journals shouldn’t be trusted.
Can the heavily politicized Goddard Institute for Space Studies be reformed?
The Trump Administration is determined to return NASA to its original mission of space exploration -- and move any climate-related research to other agencies, The future of the Goddard Institute of Space Studies, which for years has been the platform for warmist activists like James Hansen and Gavin Schmidt, will likewise focus on space or be phased out. The climate propaganda machine will have lost one of its chief protagonist entities.
Former National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scientist Dr. John Bates has gone on record that the organization knowingly released "unverified" global temperature data in violation of rules on scientific integrity which Bates had received a 2014 U.S. Department of Commerce Gold Medal for devising.
President-elect Donald Trump’s senior space policy advisor, Bob Walker, recently observed that NASA has been reduced to "a logistics agency concentrating on space station resupply and politically correct environmental monitoring." Instead, "We see NASA in an exploration role, in deep space research." He added, "Mr. Trump’s decisions will be based upon solid science, not politicized science."
Dr. Gavin Schmidt, the director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, told the Independent he and other government scientists are “not going to stand” for any funding cuts or other interference in their work.
CFACT Advisor Dr. Larry Bell reports that the highly publicized claim by NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies is bogus -- that other studies, for example, work done by the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature (BEST) project, come to very different conclusions about the significance of the GISS findings, and others have questioned GISS director Gavin Schmidt about why his team ignored very accurate satellite data which have been available since 1979. Schmidt, of course, declined to answer, and now major media outlets are backtracking from their original reporting.
