Green energy spending bad for economy, environment

Is taxpayer money spent on Green energy hurting both the economy and environment? Well that’s the assertion of economists from the group PERC, who in a recent study found that for every $100 billion a government spends on so-called “clean energy,” that nation’s GDP is likely to decrease by nearly a half a percent. The researchers also noted that but for today’s historically onerous government regulations, each American should now be enjoying an extra $100,000 in his or her pocket. And what about the environment? Well, lowering regulation would also benefit it too, since the more money a nation has in its economy, the more money it can invest in environmental protection.
