If you heard someone talking about a threat to America greater than Bin Laden’s terrorist network, pig farmers would hardly come to mind. But outlandishly, that was the exact comparison recently made by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as part of his ongoing attack on U.S. hog farming.  According to the York Sunday News, Kennedy has assembled a dream team of trial lawyers to sue pork producers over their alleged environmental infractions.  Despite strict environmental standards for hog farming, Kennedy hopes damages against the industry could be as much as 13 billion dollars.  And at 200 million in legal fees for Kennedy’s firm alone, he would be making quite a slab of bacon off this muddy hog campaign.
