CFACT Eco-Summit in Valle Verde, Mexico

By Christina WilsonCFACT Collegians traveled to Cancun, Mexico for its annual Eco Summit.  It sounds glamorous doesn’t it - bright lights, blue water, white beaches and fun in the sun? Not for CFACT.  Students from all over the United States, representing 15 different college campuses, flew to Mexico not to simply hang out, but to put CFACT’s message into action.   CFACT has always believed that a practical application of free market principles can bring people in the developing world into a world of technology, prosperity, and liberty. CFACT files lawsuit against University of Wisconsin

The Collegians For A Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court against the University of Wisconsin for denying their student chapter eligibility to receive student funding on Thursday.  The plaintiffs, whose lawsuit is being handled by the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), are charging the University with violating its “viewpoint neutrality” standard in dispensing student fees by denying their chapter recognition as student group eligible to receive university monies.  “Numerous other groups, including the Wisconsin Public Interest Group (WisPIRG) were granted eligibility though they do not provide near the services to students our club does,” noted CFACT spokeman Bill [...]

Patrick Henry CFACT at the Smithsonian

When attendees started entering, the students took position a few feet away from the doors and began passing out a fact sheet tailored to the event. CFACT's message was that man-made global warming is overblown, that denying native peoples the full use of modern technology is eco-imperialism, and that wind and solar are not environmentally benign. Symposium attendees and other museum goers were very receptive to their message. One school teacher [...]

Scaling America’s ivory towers
