Is the Bush administration suppressing science that runs counter to its policies on the environment?  Well that was the charge leveled by the Union of Concerned Scientists at a recent national press conference.  But according to Bonner Cohen of the National Center for Public Policy Research, such charges are unwarranted. Comments Cohen: “Far from being a politically neutral organization, the Union of Concerned Scientists is a decidedly Left-wing pressure group more interested in trumpeting its agenda than in promoting scientific inquiry.  That agenda includes unqualified support for the energy-rationing provisions of the discredited Kyoto Protocol.  What really upsets the Union of Concerned Scientists is that the Bush Administration has rejected the global warming treaty.”
