Recently, the biotechnology industry held its annual convention in none other than the liberal enclave of San Francisco.  But according to Sonia Arrison of the Pacific Research Institute, even the regular gang of protestors couldn’t stop the benefits of biotech from being trumpeted. Comments Arrison:  “This year’s convention attracted thousands of attendees, a mob of noisy protesters, and one happy mayor. Yes, even the liberal mayor of San Francisco understands that the breakthroughs of biotech create safer and healthier food to feed the world, as well as much-needed jobs at home. It’s too bad that the rent-a-mobs and career protestors of the left continue to fight positive innovation with cliché slogans and anti-corporate rhetoric.”
