Like the British Invasion of the 1960’s, America is preparing for yet another European fad to hit the market in the coming year.  This one though is in the area of automobiles, as the “Smart microcar” is about to make its debut in U.S. showrooms next year.  Already the rage among young drivers in Europe, the smart microcar is incredibly, well…small. In fact, you can fit three of them sideways in a standard parking spot.  Its sticker price is only 13 grand, and best of all it gets 70 miles per gallon – which makes hybrids look like gas guzzlers in comparison.  Safety is of course a concern, but the vehicle has earned a three star rating in crash tests and is considered roomy by owners.  Well, to quote the Beatles, Beep beep and beep beep, Yeah!
