The Russian musical tale of Peter and the Wolf has been a favorite of children for decades.  But recently, a new environmentally correct version of Prokofiev’s children’s classic was recorded by none other than Mikhail Gorbachev and Bill Clinton.  The story is this time told from the wolf’s perspective, and according to the conductor, it is the disappearance of the forest from urbanization that makes the wolf so desperate. Narrates Clinton, “forgetting his triumph, peter thought instead of fallen trees, parched meadows, choked streams, and of each and every wolf struggling for survival.  The time has come to leave wolves in peace.”  Well at least we’re glad to see Mr. Clinton can feel the wolf’s pain.
