Recently Al Gore’s movie about global warming called “An Inconvenient Truth” took home an Oscar as best documentary. But according to Marlo Lewis of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, the movie clearly doesn’t deserve such an accolade from Hollywood. “Gore’s film isn’t really a documentary, it’s a Scare-You-Mentary. The movie’s warning that sea levels might rise 20 feet in our lifetimes or those of our children unless we follow him down the Kyoto road, is pure science fiction, as are numerous other claims such as linking manmade emissions to malaria, increasing drought, and hurricanes going out of control. The film rightly deserves an Oscar for the category of best Sci-Fi film in the guise of a documentary.”
