Pumping gas into your car can take five minutes. But how would you feel about stopping off for ten hours?  Well according to Steven Milloy of FoxNews.com, Congress is considering legislation that would mandate your local electric company build battery recharging stations to give new electric cars, anticipated to be a growing percentage of the American auto fleet, a jolt when they need to fill up.  Of course, many may not want to wait that long at a gas station, but purchasing a battery charger for yourself can also be a bit pricy.  Typical costs for an outdoor unit can be $20,000 — not to mention the spike you would incur with higher utility bills to boot.  Such inconveniences surrounding electric cars may be shocking to many motorists.
