CFACT’s effort to promote sound science is really gaining steam and even the Financial Times recognizes that in a recent article. Mr. Turnbull was a leader in the Liberal Party in Australia and was removed from his position in part because of his alarmist views on global warming. The Australian Parliament went on to defeat the carbon trading scheme in a recent vote. CFACT’s executive director was quoted in the article: “Craig Rucker, director of the US-based Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, linked Mr Turnbull’s political demise to the “Climategate scandal” – the release a week ago by computer hackers of thousands of e-mails sent to and from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in the UK.”
