The Science and Public Policy Institute reported that the EPA recently awarded $1.9 million in environmental justice grants on the global warming issue. Comments report author, Dennis Ambler:
“Well yes, there is a new transfer of money every year, and it is called the Environmental Justice Small Grants Program. Here are some examples: In Massachusetts, Summerville’s high school green team were paid for a twenty week door-to-door campaign encouraging local residents to replace their standard light bulbs with compact fluorescents, and the Women’s Health and Environmental Network was paid to educate senior citizens on climate change and how to reduce their carbon footprint.”
