As it has for the past several years, CFACT once again brought fresh water to an impoverished village in India. Last year, it was a well placed in Kharpudi Village, which is in the district of Jalna City in the State of Maharastra. This year, the site for drilling a new water well was in the village of Vivahmandhva. In both instances, residents turned out en masse, holding up “Thank You CFACT” signs to show their gratitude.
CFACT believes such a helping hand will pay dividends, as it demonstrates to not just those in India but also to people here in America (especially young collegians) that free market environmentalism is not just about “head, but “heart” as well.
Below is a letter sent by Pastor Ramesh Ghodke, who oversaw the project, thanking president Craig Rucker for CFACT’s support, as well as some pictures of the event.
Dear Craig sir,
Glad to tell you that, Today’s day was blessed day for us and was happy day for the people where water well has been drilled in Vivahmandva village . Today we had dedication and inauguration of water well in Vivhmandwa village…I give thanks to almighty God and you for this water well whatever you have done for the people of India. People became very happy and they thanked to God and you and me. We hope that many people will get water through this water well. You are doing great a job in India. I thank you so much for your great love and prayers and donation. May God bless you.
