Former UN climate chief Christiana Figueres laughed off her call for a UN “centralized transformation” of our lives when confronted by CFACT’s Marc Morano at COP 23, the UN climate conference in Bonn, but here’s what she originally said:
“The Industrial Revolution was also a transformation, but it wasn’t a guided transformation from a centralized policy perspective. This is a centralized transformation that is taking place because governments have decided that they need to listen to science. So it’s a very, very different transformation and one that is going to make the life of everyone on the planet very different.”
Are UN bureaucrats competent to centrally plan our future? Where would that power come from? WATCH NOW
May be time to un the UN.
Oh yes.
You mean the UN with 3 times as many tyrrants, Kings, colonels and dictators at the table than democracies? Most certainly should be dissolved. —-In acid
Worse than that. Check out who they have in charge of their “Human Rights” Committee. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so sad.
Her original quote was even more outrageous. At a news conference in February 2015 in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, then executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework
Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists
is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism. “This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of
intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic
development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the
Industrial Revolution,” she said.
“That will not happen overnight and it will not happen at a single conference on climate change, be it COP 15, 21, 40 – you choose the number. It just does not occur like that. It is a process, because of the depth of the transformation.” Christina Figueres.
“you choose the number”
I choose NEVER.
I think that Trump should take her and the UN at their word with regard to intent. That intent is by definition an attempt to overthrow the sovereignty of the USA and all other countries.
Based on that statement and others made and actions taken I believe that Trump needs to do exactly what IS within his power. He needs to end UN diplomatic relations with all UN members and tell them that they have 30 days to leave the USA and that thier diplomatic status is revoked as of 7 days. Then tell them that as long as they have intent to take global control of all nations and all operations, including climate related legislation that they are NOT welcome in the USA any longer.
