SpaceX is preparing an important test flight of its Starship rocket, this one designated SN9, from Boca, Chica, Texas.

On Friday SpaceX conducted a successful static fire test of SN9’s engines.

SpaceX hopes Starship will carry astronauts back to the Moon and onto Mars.

The precise time of this test flight is unknown, but currently scheduled for between 1 PM and 7 PM EST, Monday, January 25, 2021.  As with any test flight that is subject to change.  If it goes up join us and watch live at CFACT.org!

CFACT looks forward to Americans once again flying routinely to space on American rockets.  We should never have allowed this essential capability to lapse.

Well done, Elon Musk and SpaceX.  Take all the time you need to get these tests right.
