At a meeting of GOP women in Winchester, Virginia on Wednesday, CFACT President Craig Rucker tore into Biden’s climate agenda claiming it was helping to fuel Putin’s war in Ukraine.

“Efforts to go net zero have diminished the ability of nations to provide sufficient energy to meet demand,” noted Rucker, “and this gives tyrants like Vladimir Putin an opportunity to provide that energy in the form of natural gas and rake in millions to fund his war machine.”

Moscow currently derives 36% of its revenues from trade in fossil fuels, and Europe receives about 40 percent of its natural gas from Russia.  The use of natural gas has become crucial to the economies of numerous EU nations as many members have moved away from coal and nuclear energy to provide electricity and instead rely upon renewables – which are both intermittent and unreliable.

“While Europe showcases for us the economic and national security problems that arise from pursuing Green New Deal-style strategies, it all seems lost on the Biden administration which is bound and determined to do everything it can to dismantle our energy infrastructure,” Rucker added.

The talk was delivered at the Winchester Country Club in Winchester, Virginia and met with robust applause after it concluded.  The organizer, Carol Westervelt, said Rucker’s presentation was “very well received” and felt attendees garnered much information they will find valuable in their efforts to confront the Green agenda in their community.

“Thank-you for your enlightening and engaging speech to our WFCRW group yesterday, March 2nd at the Winchester Country Club,” said Gayle Ferreira, who is the VP of the group, to Rucker. “I’ve received feedback from several members who said your presentation was informative and at the same time, enjoyable. You translate scientific information into layman terms that we all could understand and follow. We are now equipped with insight on how we can reply to those who make unfounded climate accusations.”

CFACT will continue to provide informative and educational presentations to grassroots groups around the nation. If you are involved in a group and want a speaker from CFACT, email [email protected] with the request.
