Morano on UN COP28 Climate Summit & Net Zero Goals of Fossil Fuel Phase-Out:
Morano: “Let’s say it out loud. Net Zero is a Soviet-style central planning technique that has to be roundly defeated. We need Republican leadership. We need the House Speaker. We need Mitch McConnell. We need them to do a Sense of the Senate, a declaration of Congress to declare Net Zero an anti-human agenda.

It’s one of the greatest farces that ever come from the United Nations — the idea that the UN is going to act as though they’re they can control the dial of the earth and control the temperature by crushing human energy and development. …

And just to go back to the whole big picture, 100 years ago, 80% of our energy came from fossil fuels. Today, 80% of our energy comes from fossil fuels both globally and in the US. The idea that we can get rid of fossil fuels in the next few decades and that the UN is going to save us or the idea that the Inflation Reduction Act is going to save us — is literally psychotic. It has no science or common sense behind it.”

Getting rid of fossil fuels has no ‘common sense’ behind it: Marc Morano – Climate Depot executive editor Marc Morano discusses how climate alarmists are freaking out over a ‘weak’ COP28 agenda on ‘The Bottom Line’ on December 12, 2023.

Selected Transcript:

Marc Morano: First of all, I love the way you did the cartoons of Kerry and Gore with the little cartoon texts. It looks like we are reading a comic book. That’s exactly the level of understanding and common sense they’re applying at this UN Climate Summit.

The first point I want to make is the failure of a UN Climate Summit is good news. That’s why I brought a celebratory cigar. Let’s celebrate the little victories. And this is a good thing.

In terms of how you beat this. This was completely bonkers. I spent a week there. I just got back over the weekend in Dubai at this summit. It opened with Kamala Harris pledging billions to the UN Climate Fund in order for world leaders to keep other poor nations poor, not so they can’t develop.

Then Gore and Kerry came up and talked about phase-out of coal and gas. Then China started talking about replacing all fossil fuels with renewable ones. So China’s involved in trying to get us more dependent upon them.

Then, the UN does a fashion show with multiple sustainable clothing events, and they defend the idea of three new clothing items per year, per person.

Let’s say it out loud. Net Zero is a Soviet-style central planning technique that has to be roundly defeated.

We need Republican leadership. We need the House Speaker. We need Mitch McConnell. We need them to do a Sense of the Senate, a declaration of Congress to, literally, declare Net Zero an anti-human agenda.

It’s one of the greatest farces to ever come from the United Nations. Basically, the idea that the UN is going to act as though they’re they can control the dial of the earth and control the temperature by crushing human energy and development.

Fox anchor Dagen McDowell: President Biden’s signature climate law, the horribly named Inflation Reduction Act, is receiving big praise over a COP 28 with the UK, EU, and Australia now working on their own versions of it because they want to be broke ass like us here in the US. The massive spending bill is falling flat with American voters, is hundreds of billions of their taxpayer dollars go to subsidize this green energy boondoggle estimates. The original estimate was for $391 billion in green subsidies. They’re easily going to pay more than three times what the administration originally claimed, Marc.

Morano:  The UN itself and other international organizations and reports claim that spending $70 trillion is going to be needed to save us. Here’s the thing about the Inflation Reduction Act: it was not supported. They had to lie to support Senator Joe Manchin, and even Bill Gates got into the act, and they lied to him about all sorts of subsidies and favors they were going to do that never happened.

But the bottom line is the Inflation Reduction Act was an evil genius. Unlike President Obama’s 2009 and 2010 Green stimulus bill, where they put out over $70 billion, which was a one-time big spend — what they did with the IRA is they learned from the failures of the past. The Inflation Reduction Act will be picking winners and losers and money, potentially decades into the future. It’s a nonstop spigot of money that’s designed to literally change our entire economy and force even Republican governors to be lured in by these subsidies. It’s an evil plan. It’s an anti-human plan. And just to go back to the whole big picture, 100 years ago, 80% of our energy came from fossil fuels. Today, 80% of our energy comes from fossil fuels both globally and in the US. The idea that we can get rid of fossil fuels in the next few decades and that the UN is going to save us or the Inflation Reduction Act is going to save us — is literally psychotic. It has no science or common sense behind it.

Fox anchor Sean Duffy: Marc Morano, always a pleasure. Thanks for joining us. We appreciate it.
