Morano: They are all for borders only when it comes to Net Zero. But your average progressive usually doesn’t care about borders. They want a free flow of migration, and they even want a borderless world –one world government et, cetera, –but when it comes to the climate, they say, “Oh my gosh, if this happens within the United States borders, or within Canada’s borders. Or within England or within France or within Germany, we’ve got to reduce emissions within those borders.’
And they couldn’t care less what happens when you restrict all of that energy extraction in these countries that are economically better and have higher technological rates and great environmental standards, and instead you outsource it to less developed countries
The whole point of my Earth Day article is that Donald Trump truly does deserve the Earth Day Hero Award for Earth Day. Reducing emissions in the developed world was an accounting trick. The entire climate narrative for 3 decades was designed to get the West to de-industrialize and harm itself economically, essentially as a way to redistribute wealth. But it was never about the climate.
