Climatist Jihad?

The Climate Crisis industry, says CFACT Senior Policy Analyst Paul Driessen, is rich from government grants, foundation grants, and other money from special interest groups, all betting tyhey can convince the public that climate change is so horrific they must accept a complete government takeover of the entire society (or thereabouts). They turn white when polls show climate skeptics are well received and their research is convincing. To counter this, because they cannot or will not even try to debate the science, they resort to ad hominem attacks and other assaults on tghe character (and thus the science) presented -- and they are willing to stretch or completely fabricate the "truth" about those whose work threatens them and thend eny them any chance to correct the narrative.

The climate con goes on

CFACT Senior Policy Analyst Paul Driessen says that the media are too heavily invested in the global warming scam to ever admit that they had been played by politicians and "scientists" for decades. There is a growing body of evidence that President Obama's and the UN's claims that carbon dioxide emissions are killing the planet are merely a smokescreen for their real , and now clearly stated, intention -- to destroy capitalism and take the wealth of America and the West.

Vilifying realist science – and scientists

CFACT Senior Policy Advisor Paul Driessen shines the light of financial truth on those who have viciously attacked Harvard scientist Dr. Willie Soon and other authors of a devastating new report, published in the January 2015 Science Bulletin of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which concluded that, once discrepancies in IPCC computer models are taken into account, the impact of CO2-driven manmade global warming over the next century (and beyond) is likely to be “no more than one-third to one-half of the IPCC’s current projections.” Because these well-heeled "made men" scientists cannot attack the evidence, they are reduced to killing the messengers -- showing that the billions and billions of dollars spent -- including money funneled from Putin's Russia -- to hide these truths and buy off or bludgeon dissent from the party line is not working out that well.

Divesting people of better living standards

The radical Green push for colleges and universities to divest themselves from investment in fossil fuel companies is misguided, immoral, lethal, and, yes, racist. While Western civilization has seen an 11-fold increase in wealth, a doubling of lifespans, and health and prosperity unprecedented in human history, nearly 1.5 billion still live without the benefits of modern technology. While China (which will ignore the bigots) has linked nearly its entire population to the power grid, over 300 million in India and more than twice that number in sub-Saharan Africa lack even the simplest of modern amenities that electric power and motorized transportation afford. CFACT Senior Policy Advisor Paul Driessen asks, "What right do divestment activists and climate change alarmists have to deny Earth's most destitute people access to electricity and motor fuels, jobs, and better lives?"

I come to bury renewable fuel standards

The federal ethanol mandate mut be rescinded, say CFACT Senior Policy Advisor Paul Driessen. Nearly 40% of the U.S. corn crop is devoted to ethanol, and this requires enormous amounts of irrigation water, fertilizers, pesticides, and gasoline or diesel fuel to grow, harvest, and ship the corn -- and then to ship the ethanol. While corn growers are protected by the mandate, they are making money -- but at the expense of chicken, turkey, egg, and hog farmers who are paying an extra $100 billion a year in feed costs. Moreover, energy from oil and gas drilling is much less harmful to the environment -- especially given the high usage of water, the unbearable flow of life-killing nutrients into the Gulf of Mexico, and of course the negative impacts on gasoline and diesel engines from the added ethanol (and the lower miles per gallon it delivers). It is time, says Driessen, to bury the Renewable Fuel Standard and the ethanol subsidies.

Vetoing bipartisan energy, job, and economic growth

CFACT Senior Policy Advisor Paul Driessen says that the Obama Administration is continuing, even revving up, its campaign against domestic energy production with new EPA regulations on the horizon that would shutter much of the nation's coal industry and do great harm to oil and gas production; he also promised to veto any legislation to approve the Keystone XL pipeline. Moreover, the Obama progressive mentality is so pervaseive that international lending and donor agencies (the UN, OPIC, etc.) are holding poor, developing countries hostage to wind, solar, and biofuel projects that cannot lift them out of poverty -- and thus these elites are damning the world's poorest people to eternal poverty when true prosperity through fossil fuels is staring them in the face.

The Environmental Protection-racket Agency

The Environmental Protection Agency has just proposed new regulations for ground-level ozone that are lower in many cases than natural ozone levels. They base this proposal on a discredited study by one scientist from California whose work has been severely criticized, and their "benefits" analysis excludes all costs of imposing the regulations, which would be the most expensive in American history. A 2010 Manufacturers' Alliance/MAPI study calculated that a 60 ppb standard would render 85% to 95% of U.S. counties out of compliance, cost the economy $1 trillion per year, and kill 7.3 million jobs by 2020. CFACT's Paul Driessen says that the new Congress should rein in the EPA using the principle: No data and no integrity result in no regulation and no taxpayer money to impose it.

Beekeeepers blaming pesticides for bee losses could face bigger losses in court

Prodded by attorneys, beekeepers in Canada's Ontario Province have filed a lawsuit against pesticide manufacturers, claiming that neonicotinoids are killing their hives. But beekeepers in western Canadian provinces are seeking to opt out of the lawsuit, but the Siskinds law firm is not cooperating with their requests. Should the beekeepers lose in court, they will be obligated to pay court costs and perhaps damages. Perhaps they will have to file their own lawsuit against the plaintiffs.

Pummeling Coal Country families

President Obama's Environmental Protection Agency is about anything BUT protection of the American people and their economic future. Instead, the EPA has proposed regulations -- based on spurious research -- that will devastate families in coal states (and everywhere else as well as a result), kill millions of jobs, and force the cost of electricity to "skyrocket." These smug bureaucrats refuse to disclose their research, their economic projections, or any other data that they allegedly used to develop these proposed standards -- and they have been stonewalling even Congress, demonstrating their unabashed arrogance. It is time that the people rose up, demanded action by their elected representatives to stop the EPA's onslaught on America, and bring the whole truth to light about these rules and the shenanigans of those who seek to impose them on us.
