Selected Excerpts:

Anchor: Joining me. Now with more is the executive editor at climate depot.com, Marc Morano. Marc, good morning to you. What in the world of air conditioning is going on over there in Europe these days?

Marc Morano: Europe is allowing people to die needlessly. This is now the 21st century. It’s not 1900. It’s not 1915, Morano on tv: You can get A/C in Europe — but only after death! 2where heat waves would come and kill off masses of people in the Western world. This is the 21st century in the year 2026. Europe cannot get its act together on basic public health principles and allow air conditioning.

They’re forcing people to suffer and allowing excess heat deaths because they’re not allowing air conditioning due to climate ideology.

Just to give you quick stats: In the US, over 90% of households have access to air conditioning; in India, 76% of households. In Nigeria, in Africa, 60% of households have access to air conditioning,

But in Europe, only an estimated 20 to 25% of households across the continent have access to A/C. Even the ones that have A/C can’t let it go below 80°F — which is as good as not having it.

In England, the government is removing air conditioning from homes that don’t comply with the strict net-zero code — they are banning and restricting air conditioning across the continent to virtue-signal about climate change and the net-zero movement and to meet their emissions targets.

And here’s the most ironic and evil part of this. If you’re in France, if you’re living throughout the EU, if you die from a lack of air conditioning, and you’re an elderly person in particular who dies from heat stroke, you can get air conditioning — but only after death!

It’s mandated that dead bodies get refrigerated, and it’s not just refrigeration — the corpses are cooled down to 33° to 41°F, so you will finally get that cold relief — a very significant cold relief — but only after you die. Europe will accept cooling only for dead bodies.

But if you’re alive, you can’t have air conditioning because we gotta meet our climate goals. This is insane.

See:

French Article R2223-76 of the CGCT on Légifrance, which requires that each refrigerated slot maintain the body temperature between 33°F and 41°F. Under French law, the technical zone of a mortuary or funeral home must maintain a steady cold-storage temperature. … Art. 4. – The technical area of the mortuary includes a body preparation room and must be equipped with at least two refrigerated body storage units for every 200 annual deaths. The refrigerated units are programmed to operate at temperatures between 0°C and +5°C; some may be programmed to operate at temperatures of -10°C or lower, particularly for the storage of bodies admitted by official order. https://sante.gouv.fr/fichiers/bo/1998/98-37/a0372410.htm

Morano: This is an anti-human policy. And what’s frightening about this is that you see it in New York City: You have Mayor Mandani saying keep your air conditioning to above 79°F.  Mandani’s a radical, because he’s allowing 1° or 2° cooler A/C in NYC than Europe is allowing. In Spain, they have restricted A/C to 81°F or above for business.

This is what you face when you have central planners and an ideology like climate change. It reminds you of COVID lockdowns.

You don’t have air conditioning, because we’re fighting global warming. And yeah, you may die; don’t worry. After you die, we’ll bring your body down into the 30s°F in refrigerated mortuaries. But right now, if you’re alive, sorry, you’re not getting the air conditioner.

By the way, the EU headquarters cut off the air conditioning for the peons and the bureaucratic staff, but the EU leaders kept their air conditioning running during the heat wave in Brussels.
