The fat cats who run land trusts actually believe they are entitled to anyone else's property just because they want it ... and in the case of the former Smitty's Dude Ranch in upstate New York, they have fought low down and dirty over the past 30 years to seize property that 28 years ago was sold, under a deed upheld many times in court, to a couple of modest means. Peabody Energy, Arch Coal, and other once vibrant coal producers have filed for Chapter 11 protection, shedding some $30 billion in shareholder value and tens of thousands of jobs in their companies and dependent industries. As European nations come to grips with the exorbitant costs of energy subsidies and over-reliance on "green" energy (and build new coal-fired power plants to offset those costs and address the intermittent nature of wind and solar energy), the U.S. has been heading in the opposite direction -- President Obama's onerous Clean Power Plan. Thankfully, the plan is held up in court, as the world is beginning to recognize the enormous costs of complying with the non-binding Paris Climate Agreement. The question remains, though, whether America will go the way of California, which already has electricity prices 40% above the national average and the highest retail gasoline prices in the U.S.?
While serving as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton created a nonprofit to fund so-called clean cookstoves that are being marketed as the preferred UN solution for Africans and others without access to electricity (rather than, for example, providing electricity to them)(. Turns out the Clinton Foundation has an interest in this project, and perhaps the deeper goal is acquiring carbon credits for sale to the highest bidder once Hillary becomes President and imposes a carbon tax.

President Obama promised a million electric cars by the end of 2015, but got less than half that number, and many of those are being leased. Studies show that EVs, because they run on whatever is generating the local electricity, are often in effect more polluting than gasoline vehicles -- and a lot more expensive and less convenient. Without massive subsidies and arm twisting, there would likely be very little market at all for these overpriced, underperforming vehicles.
The irony here is that the same censors who are trying to stifle dissent from the warmist tyranny -- and claim to be journalists and supporters of real science -- also argue that the EPA's so-called supporting data not be subjected to public scrutiny -- perhaps because they KNOW that real data do not support the warmist positions.
Facts do not matter to the climate alarmist. Nor do politicians and UN bureaucrats let the facts on climate variability get in the way of their zealous mission to take control of the U.S. economy and redistribute our wealth to world dictators (themselves included). Responsible scientists have professional and ethical obligations to express uncertainties and doubts. The real climate change “deniers” are those who don’t exercise active skepticism…not those who do.
The old adage -- follow the money -- proves right once again. The Evangical Environmental Network, created to "green" evangelical parishoners into voting for radical environmental policies, was paid for this job via grants from the Hewlett and Energy Foundations, among others. This brazen attempt to politicize the churches was thwarted by a counter measure group, the Cornwall Alliance. Yet the greens remain hopeful they will succeed the next time around.
Once again, CFACT advisor Marita Noon sheds light on the lies of the anti-fracking, anti-fossil-fuel crowd. This time she shows how Leftists falsely claim that fracking is a significant cause of earthquakes, when in fact science has shown that the problem is oversaturation due to reinjection of produced water into deep wells. The truth is that fracking operations often can use this water that otherwise would be reinjected, minimizing the problem.
A possible hidden agenda in the UN's Agenda 21 is world depopulation through not allowing sub-Saharan Africans, for example, the opportunity to improve their standards of living via modern technology, even affordable electricity. Even worse, the grandiose schemes for renewable energy only are ilkely to result in a collapse of the energy grids due to the intermittent nature of wind and solar energy.
