Former Vice President Albert Gore still draws attention, though far less as his tenure as VP grows more distant (he departed that office in January 2001).
As time passes and new voices of lunacy have emerged on climate, Al Gore has gotten more desperate for attention to the point of extreme malice and bigotry. The latest example of many came last Sunday during an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press.
“The climate deniers are really in some ways similar to all of those almost 400 law enforcement officers in Uvalde, Texas, who were waiting outside an unlocked door while the children were being massacred. They heard the screams, they heard the gunshots, and nobody stepped forward,” said the former Vice President of the United States.
After Gore spewed this venom of comparing people who disagree with him to standing by watching children getting massacred, he called for “unity.”
“We have to have unity as a nation to come together and stop making this a political football,” Gore stated, completely oblivious to his loathsome statements.
This is Gore’s method of persuasion: if you don’t agree with me, you don’t care about children murdered.
Listening to Al Gore discuss global warming over the years, on the surface one would never know how provably false he has been for more than three decades about climate change/global warming both on the science and his blizzard of bogus predictions.
Time and space does not permit an exhaustive rehashing of Al Gore’s 35-year history of climate lies, hysteria, vitriol, and predictions gone bust. CFACT has amply documented his perfidy and temper (e.g., here, here, here and here). One of my favorite examples was when Michael Moore, the far-left filmmaker, exposed Gore’s dishonesty on climate issues while enriching himself by lobbying for favorable government policies, shown in the movie, Planet of the Humans.
Every soundbite from climate alarmists and demagogues like Al Gore about temperature vagaries, hurricane activity, polar ice caps, sea levels and more are either baseless or wildly exaggerated. There is nothing new under the sun, the saying goes, about 21st century climate conditions.
The increase in average global temperature of one degree since the mid- to late 1800s means the planet remains much cooler than warming periods of centuries past, i.e., Earth is not soon burning, given the numerous computer models whose predictions consistently fell flat. Sea levels increasing by millimeters per year are influenced by several factors having nothing to do with climate and are meaningless besides (including, evidently, to Barack and Michelle Obama, who purchased ocean-front property on Martha’s Vineyard island). The polar bear population is thriving and increased as much as fivefold in the last 60 years; and major storm activity in recent years is not unique, as decades of records reveal.
Yet, Gore, like Prince Harry, AOC, John Kerry and so many other alarmists never present science or data, and dare not debate anyone who could challenge their global warming gospel. .
Gore’s latest diatribe further reveals that climate alarmists are never about persuasion and consensus. Rather, they are about domination and won’t accept that enough of our elected representatives in Congress–the very outcome of democracy–can thwart their agenda. That explains the long-time pressure on President Biden to declare a very anti-democratic “climate emergency” to impose by executive order a package of egregious new climate change policies, the U.S. Constitution be damned.
Gore went on the same interview to claim, “We do have the [climate] solutions. And I think these extreme events that are getting steadily worse and more severe are really beginning to change minds.”
In fact, the opposite is true on all counts.
Gore’s climate “solutions” have been steadily imposed by the Biden administration for the last 18 months. The result has been record-high energy costs and the worst consumer inflation in more than 40 years, which brings declining wages and a reduced standard of living for every American. Piling on this failure still won’t make a dent in the climate trajectory.
Americans are fed up and not buying what Gore is selling. Polling reveals climate change is at or near the bottom of the nation’s concerns, and almost nine in ten Americans view the country on the “wrong track.”
If Gore’s claims were true, he wouldn’t be ranting in frustration and leveling character assassination. His shameless invoking of the horrific episode in Uvalde, Texas further indicates Gore’s growing irrelevance as he unleashes new outrages to be heard. Even at the United Nations’ climate conference last fall in Glasgow, Scotland, Gore’s presence barely registered among the attendees; he merely blended in with the crowd.
Al Gore has benefitted himself financially as a grifter selling his global warming snake oil, but the American people have other, real-life concerns and are tuning out his shopworn act and the hysterics of his climate comrades.
