Climate Change Reconsidered Join CFACT for an International Conference on Climate Change Friday December 4, 2009, Hotel Melia Berlin On the Eve of COP15, the UN Conference in Copenhagen, scientists and policy experts will gather at Berlin's Melia Hotel to discuss the science, politics, economics and impacts of climate change. Almost daily new evidence arises that challenges the IPCC's position on man-made climate change. People around the world are paying closer attention and questioning the merits of the UN's policy forcing the UN and many governments into a scramble to cement their climate policies before the momentum shifts further against [...]
Here is an extensive library of peer-reviewed scientific papers compiled by PopularTechnology.net that support climate realism. The scientific debate is on. Real world experience and observation vs. man-made computer models. Who are you betting on? […]
Fair reporting from the BBC? Scientific evidence continues to mount against the IPCC’s climate report, however, the media establishment usually ignores it. What a surprise to read from the BBC that, “for the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures. And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.” […]

The NY Times wants to know whether a dry, dusty spell in Australia is evidence of global warming. That Australia was prone to dryness and dust before the Dutch stumbled upon it doesn’t factor. When the Guardian reported last year that snow was blanketing the Middle East, they didn’t ask whether this showed we were all in for global cooling. Cooler heads of course know that neither event tells us much about our climate. Weather varies and history records the average of extremes. If the press reports unseasonable heat as warming and takes unseasonable cold in stride, it heads [...]

SIMON ESPERSEN (Copenhagen) In terms of political ideas, Denmark these days is largely socialist. In economic terms it is a mixed economy with a large part of civil society encroached upon by government bureaucracy. There is not a vital part of society that politicians do not seek to control. […]
SIMON ESPERSEN (Copenhagen) Connie Hedegaard is the Danish Minister for Climate and Energy. Along with her fellow Danish colleagues she is hosting the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Copenhagen. Being a member of the Danish conservative party for decades you would not expect the minister to hold radical or extreme viewpoints regarding the relationship between man and nature. […]

We are writing to you and others associated with the IPCC position – that man’s CO2 is a driver of global warming and climate change – to ask that you now in view of the evidence retract support from the current IPCC position [as in footnote 1] and admit that there is no observational evidence in measured data going back 22,000 years or even millions of years that CO2 levels (whether from man or nature) have driven or are driving world temperatures or climate change. […]
“This is a truly historic event, the first international conference devoted to answering questions overlooked by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.” said Joseph Bast, President of the Heartland, a Chicago-based think tank, at the opening of the event. And he continued: “We’re asking questions such as: how reliable are the data used to document the recent warming trend? how much of the modern warming is natural, and how much is likely the result of human activities? how reliable are the computer models used to forecast future climate conditions? and is reducing emissions the best or only response to possible climate [...]
Politicians know that they have to act when it is necessary. They know that their duty is to instigate public-policy responses to issues that could pose a threat to the people of their countries. And they have to form partnerships with colleagues from other countries when a problem cannot be “confined” within national boundaries. To help doing it is one of the main reasons for the existence of institutions such as the United Nations. […]
