COP 24: Packed house at CFACT’s Poland climate forum

In the audience at CFACT's Poland forum were veterans of the Solidarity movement who freed Poland from Socialism thirty years ago. They do not want to go back. They turned this scholarly forum into a lively discussion of energy, global warming and Polish independence. We were honored.

CFACT billboard: Energy independence for Poland!

CFACT put up a hard-hitting billboard near the entrance to COP 24, the UN conference on climate change. It says, “Congratulations Poland, 100 years! Exit the UN Paris Accord. Energy Independence for Poland!” We met with coal miners and average Poles. They are fed up.

Poland saying “Nie” to Green demands

You've heard us say the UN's decision to have a climate conference in Poland was a big mistake. Poland is not only a nation highly skeptical of climate alarmism, but also one that is supportive and heavily reliant on coal and fossil fuels. Poland was probably not going to offer them the reception they were looking for. Now it appears some Greens are coming to a similar conclusion.

Poland blocks EU environment council on climate

Poland, which is about to assume the EU Presidency, is so fed up with EU climate policy that on June 22 it blocked the conclusions of the EU environmental ministers council. Polish good sense blocked the ministers from recommending the EU reduce carbon emissions by 80 percent by 2050 which would devastate European economies.  This would hit Poland and similar economies which have not yet recovered from their forced experiment with 20th century socialism particularly hard.
