UN opens climate conference in Bonn. CFACT press conference: Wednesday 14:00 CET room Haydn

The UN climate conference in Bonn opens today and CFACT has partnered with EIKE to send a delegation led by Dr. Holger Thuss.  The UNFCCC is banking on these subsidiary conferences to set the stage for major agreements in Durban South Africa in December.  The global warming scare and the inept and corrupt nature of proposed solutions have fallen far out of favor with the public and policy makers are taking notice and defecting.  CFACT has scheduled a  UNFCCC hosted press conference for Wednesday, 14:00 CET in the Hotel Maritim's room Haydn.  The press conference may be webcast live [...]

CFACT at Bonn climate talks

CFACT is reporting from the UN climate talks in Bonn, Germany. Our display addresses issues of alternative energy and juxtaposes wind turbines with the famed Moai, the carved heads of Easter Island, stating that civilization can't run for long on superstition or subsidies. On Saturday and Sunday CFACT met with scientists and policy experts credentialed as members of our delegation in the nearby town of Hennef during a meeting organized by the European Institute for Climate and Energy (EIKE). CFACT is providing publications to every delegation, meeting delegates, briefing the press, raising questions and providing hard information. Our press [...]

Mother Earth sells carbon indulgences in Chicago

ROGER HELMER, MEP Rather to my surprise, I bumped into Mother Earth at the Heartland Climate Conference in Chicago (May 17th).  There she was, large as life, in her green gown with a wreath of ivy in her hair (when I first saw the green gown I feared she might be a Warmist saboteur who had slipped past Security, but my worries were unfounded).  And she was selling (or strictly speaking, giving out) Carbon Indulgences (that’s the white rectangle in the photograph).  Fascinated, I read the text: “This indulgence serves as a remittance of all carbon sins.  You are forgiven for [...]

CFACT Co-Sponsors 2008 International Conference on Climate Change in New York

“This is a truly historic event, the first international conference devoted to answering questions overlooked by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.” said Joseph Bast, President of the Heartland, a Chicago-based think tank, at the opening of the event. And he continued: “We’re asking questions such as: how reliable are the data used to document the recent warming trend? how much of the modern warming is natural, and how much is likely the result of human activities? how reliable are the computer models used to forecast future climate conditions? and is reducing emissions the best or only response to possible climate [...]
