Carbon Dioxide: The Gas of Life

In this special report, CFACT senior policy advisor Paul Driessen examines carbon dioxide and its many benefits. While global warming alarmists rail against it, carbon dioxide is actually the "gas of life," without which life on earth would perish.

Walt Cunningham: Restore climate science integrity, please!

NASA should be at the forefront in the collection of scientific evidence and debunking the current hysteria over human-caused [anthropogenic] global warming [AGW]. Unfortunately, it is becoming just another agency caught up in the politics of global warming, or worse, politicized science. Advocacy and support for the White House agenda is replacing objective evaluation of data, while scientific data are being ignored in favor of emotions and politics.

The reality of no global warming

Global warming activists routinely claim that things are even worse than we thought. Marlo Lewis, senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, says the science disagrees.

Senate hearing proves Obama is lying about “climate change”

Spencer pointed out: “The magnitude of global-average atmospheric warming between 1997 and 2012 is only about 50% that predicted by the climate models.… The level of warming in the most recent 15-year period is not significantly different from zero, despite this being the period of greatest greenhouse gas concentration. This is in stark contrast to claims that warming is ‘accelerating.’”

Justifying power grabs with phony climate science

During this hot, wet summer, a “national climate expert” recently told Delawareans that they can expect even hotter summers – with a climate like Savannah, Georgia’s – by the end of the century. The culprit, naturally: runaway global warming.

Weather forecasters cloud support of man-made global warming

Advocates like Al Gore are fond of saying that the scientific debate regarding global warming is over. But when real weathermen were recently asked about the climate change issue, it appears they tended to disagree.

A gentlemanly discussion of climate change: S. Fred Singer v. John Nielsen-Gammon

Texas State Climatologist Dr. John Nielsen-Gammon, a Regents Professor of atmospheric sciences at Texas A&M University, will present a view that global temperatures have seen an upward trend since the late 1970s. Former director of the U.S. Weather Satellite Service and University of Virginia Professor Emeritus Dr. S. Fred Singer will present an argument that there is no convincing evidence of warming since that time.

The climate IS changing: it’s getting colder again!

European officialdom and media have more fully absorbed the implications of global cooling than their counterparts in the United States. Germany and England, where aggressive decarbonization schemes already have driven energy prices 40% to 70% higher, now consider reeling back their plans. In the U.S., global warming alarmists and some politicians dismiss the cooling as a minor pause in apocalyptic warming. The major media follow their cue and that of President Barack Obama, who recently claimed that the speed of global warming is accelerating faster than the science predicted. He might check with NOAA about the matter.

Recent tornado outbreaks tragic, not unprecedented

Tornadoes, like those which hit Texas and Oklahoma recently, are devastating when they strike. But are they increasing in frequency due to global warming?

Fashion alert: Weak solar cycle 25 means keep your Long Johns

Right now we’re seeing the same kind of major events on a regional scale that occurred in the early 1950s. That was the last time the Pacific Ocean shifted its temperature phase from warm to cold when the Atlantic was in a warm phase, and globally, the Earth’s temperatures have fallen about 0.05° C in the last four years. The European and Far East winters also look very similar now to those in the 1950s. Alaska has once again turned much colder, just as it did then when the Pacific temperatures cooled and sea ice expanded.

Weather related deaths plummet over last 100 years

Everyone knows global warming has spawned severe hurricanes, tornadoes and other extreme weather events that are killing a lot more people, right? Well activists have made this claim, but the truth is mortality from extreme weather events has declined significantly over the past century.
