History falsifies climate alarmist sea level claims

Climate alarmists may be likened unto those who yell "fire" in a crowded theatre when there is no fire at all. Robert Endlich herein traces the history of sea level change from the Wisconsin Ice Age of 18,000 years ago through to Roman and medieval times and to the modern era. He remarks that sea level is unlikely to be affected in response to tax policies that make energy more expensive and economies less roi

Australia’s John Howard: One religion is enough

In his recent lecture before The Global Warming Foundation in London, former Australian Prime Minister John Howard addresses the "sanctimonious tone" of many to whom global warming has become a "substitute religion." An overriding feature of the debate, he notes, is the constant attempt to intimidate policy makers into following the party line that "the science is settled," when it is not. Rather than try to limit growth, Howard said, economists need to recognize that the world will have up to 2.2 billion new middle class consumers by 2030, and we need to provide goods and services for this emergent class.

Climate Depot debunks hype linking Philippines typhoon to warming & COP 19

Climate campaigners are claiming (with no real-world basis) that typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda, which just struck the Philippines and China is the result of global warming. In short, they blame this storm on you for living in an industrialized, free society. CFACT and Climate Depot debunk the hype.

CFACT provides expert testimony at EPA coal hearings from coast to coast

EPA has been holding public hearings on coal energy around the country. CFACT's Duggan Flanakin, Bonner Cohen, and Paul Driessen took the microphone in Dallas, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.to ensure some hard facts make into EPA's record. CFACT Collegians brought the fight to sessions in Atlanta and Seattle. EPA's new rules which, which effectively shut down every coal-fired power plant in the country at a cost of hundreds of thousands of jobs and forcing electricity rates to skyrocket -- are a very bad investment and should be thrown down the toilet.

The report of 2013 United States wildfires is “greatly exaggerated”

President Obama and the mainstream media are flat-out lying about wildfires in 2013. His brand-new executive order, Prearing the United States for the Impacts of Climate Change, addresses an increase in wildfires -- but the number of wildfires in the U.S. through November 1 is the lowest in a decade, down 20% from the 2012 totals, and less than half the number and half the acreage burned as in 2006. What else are they lying about?

J’accuse! EPA’s carbon dioxide regulations would endanger public health and welfare

At an October 23 hearing in Atlanta called by EPA to solicit public comments about "reducing carbon pollution" from existing stationary power plants, Dr. James Rust of the Heartland Institute joined several CFACT Collegians in providing testimony. Dr. Rust noted that these EPA rules would be both damaging to the economy and dangerous to public health and welfare -- and are wholly unneeded.

IPCC climate modeling procedures need serious re-modeling

Everyone ought to be very skeptical of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change once they learn that the IPCC violated 72 of 89 relevant forecasting principles in creating its climate change projections. As Australian forecasting guru Kesten Green explains, "(T)here really is no excuse for the negligence IPCC has shown in overlooking the findings of nearly a century of research on forecasting methods in addressing matters so vital to the public interest."

Politics always “manages” science at the IPCC

New Zealand scientist Dr. Vincent Gray, an expert reviewer for all five UN IPCC reports, explains how the political masters of the IPCC have for 17 years forced the "science" to fit their alarmist models with increasing difficulty -- and that the attempt to hide 17 years of no global warming may prove to be an insurmountable task.

An Uncritical View Of EPA: Why I Agree With Obama

The IPCC now says we can conquer Mother Nature and end climate change if we just give them a LOT more money and power. Problem is, even though hardly anyone believes in them any more, they just might get the money and power away from us anyway!

EPA’s McCarthy admits regs are for show, not results!

Pompeo: You bet. And on your website you have 26 indicators used for tracking climate change. They identify various impacts of climate change. So you would believe that the purpose of these rules is to impact those 26 indicators, right? So you put a good greenhouse gas regulation in place, you’ll get a good outcome on at least some or all of those 26 indicators. McCarthy: I actually . . . I think that the better way to think about it, if I might, is that it is part of an overall strategy that is positioning the U.S. for leadership in an international discussion. Because climate change requires a global effort. So this is one piece and it’s one step. But I think it’s a significant one to show the commitment of the United States.

Obama’s war on energy is NOT “unbelievably small” at all!

Look closely at the energy-related news stories of the past dozen or so days, and, between the lines, you’ll see a theme: government makes predictions and assertions that cannot be backed up by data to protect or project preferred messaging.
